The "Tour Ready" Fitting Checklist

Everything you need to bring (and know) before you step into the studio.

To get a Tour-level build, we need Tour-level data. Use this checklist to ensure your fitting session is as accurate as possible.

1. Preparation & Gear

• Your Current Gamer Bag: Bring every club you currently play. We need a "baseline" to see exactly where your current equipment is failing you.
• Clean Your Grooves: Dirt and debris change spin rates on a launch monitor. Start with a clean slate for the most accurate data.
• Your Preferred Ball: Don't fit with "range balls." Bring a sleeve of the specific ball you play on the course (we recommend Sugar Golf Soft or Pure) so the compression data matches your real-world feel.
• Golf Shoes & Glove: A fitting is a high-intensity swing session. Wear what you wear on the course to ensure your posture and grip are consistent.

2. The "Intel" (Know Your Numbers)

• Your Typical "Miss": Is it a block right or a hook left? Knowing your common struggle helps the fitter select the right shaft torque and offset.
• Your "Gap" Problem: Identify the one distance where you always feel "between clubs." (e.g., "I have nothing for 105 meters.")
• Recent Yardages: Have a rough idea of your carry distances (not total roll) for your 7-iron and Driver at our local altitude.

3. The Performance Goals

• Pick One Priority: Are you looking for Max Distance, Tighter Dispersion (Accuracy), or Better Feel/Turf Interaction? (Hint: You can have all three, but knowing your "North Star" helps the fitter prioritize head-weighting).
• Injury History: Disclose any past wrist, back, or shoulder issues. This is critical for selecting shaft vibration dampening and swing weight.

4. Post-Fitting Workshop Details

• Check Your Lie Angles: Ask the fitter to show you the "Impact Tape." If your marks are toward the toe or heel, your lies need bending.
• The Grip Test: Ensure you test different textures and sizes. A grip that is too small can cause "active hands" and a hook; too large can prevent the clubface from squaring up.

Pro Tip: A full bag fitting can take 2–3 hours and involve hitting over 100 balls. Treat it like a tournament round—stay hydrated and arrive 15 minutes early to warm up your muscles!
