The full day

The whole bag, in one day.

Four hours across two sessions. Every club you carry is measured, rebuilt or replaced, and then — the part almost nobody else does — proved on the simulator and out on the course before you accept it.

  • You are rebuilding the whole set Fitting clubs one at a time gets you fourteen individually sensible clubs that do not work together. Gapping is a property of the set, not the club.
  • You have never actually been fitted Off-the-rack specs are built for an average golfer who does not exist. A full day tells you how far your own set is from where it should be.
  • You are about to spend serious money A full set is the largest single purchase in golf. Four hours of measurement in front of it is cheap insurance.
  • You want the day, not just the data Breakfast or lunch, unhurried, and a round at the end. It also makes a gift.
Step by step

How the day runs

Two two-hour sessions, split so you are not making equipment decisions with a tired swing.

Breakfast or lunch, and the interview

Before a ball is hit: what you play now, what it does wrong, where you play, how often, and what you actually want out of the set. Most of the day is decided in this conversation.

Session one — measure everything

Driver to putter on TrackMan 4. Head, shaft, lie, loft, length and grip on every club, with your existing set measured alongside so you can see the difference rather than take it on faith.

Distance analysis across the set

The full gapping picture: what each club actually carries, where two clubs are doing the same job, and where there is a hole in the bag.

Session two — prove it

A simulator round with the new specs. Numbers on a screen are a hypothesis; eighteen holes is the test.

Out on the course

The last step is real grass. Wind, lies, nerves and a scorecard behave differently to a bay, and a set that only works indoors is not fitted.

The numbers, and a sleeve of balls

Every specification from the day is yours, along with a sleeve of Sugar Golf balls fitted to those numbers.

The second half

Anyone can sell you numbers. We make you go and use them.

A bay is a controlled room with a flat mat and no consequences. The VIP day ends on the simulator and then on grass because that is the only place a set is really tested.

What gets measured

The numbers behind the recommendation.

Every session runs on TrackMan 4 with Optically Enhanced Radar Tracking. These are the parameters the decision is built on, and they are yours whatever you decide to do next.

Club speedHow fast the head is travelling. Everything else is scaled to it.
Ball speedThe energy that actually got into the ball.
Smash factorBall speed divided by club speed — a direct readout of strike quality.
Launch angleThe angle the ball leaves at, set by loft and delivery together.
Spin rateWhat keeps the ball up, and what makes it climb and stall when there is too much.
Dynamic lieThe lie angle at impact, not at address — the one that decides start direction.
Impact heightWhere on the face you struck it, in millimetres.
Impact offsetHow far towards heel or toe the strike sat.
Carry and totalWhere it lands, and where it finishes.

Questions

Before you book.

Do I have to buy clubs at the end of it?

No. The session is paid for on its own and the numbers are yours to keep. If the honest answer is that the clubs in your bag are already right for you, that is the answer you will get.

What should I bring?

The clubs you play now, and a golf glove and shoes if you have them. Measuring your current set is how we prove whether anything actually improved.

I am a beginner. Is this wasted on me?

It is the opposite. A beginner learning on clubs that are the wrong length and lie spends years building a swing that compensates for the equipment.

Which brands can you fit me into?

10 of them — Callaway, Cleveland, Cobra, GG Putters, Mizuno Irons, Ping, Srixon, TaylorMade, Titleist, XXIO. The studio is brand-agnostic, so the recommendation follows your numbers rather than a stockroom.

How do I book, and what about availability?

Message Danie on 082 776 6750 or email danie@golfconcepts.co.za — he will confirm times and take you through anything specific to your game.
